This foundational meditation will teach you a simple meditation technique and set the tone for the rest of the experience. Here you’ll be guided through your first meditation of this series, creating the foundation that you’ll build upon over the coming weeks. The first five minutes is the guided meditation. The last six minutes explains our method for effectively establishing meditation as a new habit. As you repeat this meditation, you only need to listen to the first five minutes each day.
To prepare, simply get comfortable in your chair, sitting up tall but relaxed. Remove anything that might become a distraction and commit to being here for the next few minutes. Rest both feet on the floor and relax your hands in your lap.
